Adoption plan
The Suriname Korfball Federation wants to introduce korfball to primary schools in Suriname. Through the adoption plan, we connect Surinamese primary schools to committed partners in the Netherlands - from korfball clubs to individuals, organisations and companies. Clubs can donate materials and help with sports development. But anyone can help us! Whether you want to donate materials or can make a financial contribution, your help makes a big difference.
Our korfball adoption plan gives children the opportunity to get acquainted with korfball, promotes an active lifestyle and contributes to the growth of the sport in Suriname. By working together, we ensure that korfball is structurally included in exercise education and that PE teachers are properly trained. And besides the satisfaction it gives, as a donor you will also get a lot of extras in return.

How does it work?
Taking part is easy! Dutch and Belgian korfball clubs can adopt a Surinamese primary school and help with materials and support. But other donations are also badly needed to make our dream of making korfball accessible to hundreds of children come true. In five steps, together we are building a sustainable sports future in Suriname.
As this is a long-term plan, we are mainly looking for donors who want to commit to the sport for several years, at least until school year 2030/2031. All donors will be updated regularly.

Would you like to sign up as a sports club for the adoption plan? Then we ask for an investment of around 80 euros to ship your donated equipment. This covers the shipping cost for a container of 240 litres.
